New Luxury Theater in Boca Raton

When you think of the luxury lifestyle in Boca Raton, I'm sure most of the recreational activities that leap to mind are outdoor ones. Sunbathing, boating, snorkeling, fishing... the list goes on and on. What you might not think of is spending time in a darkened theater watching a movie. A night at the movies has always been a popular choice as far as entertainment goes, bringing to mind thoughts of sticky floors, tubs of popcorn, and uncomfortable seats. Not the kind of thing a luxury homeowner in Boca Raton, who most likely has their own media room, might see as an appealing way to pass some time.
A couple of luxury theaters in South Florida are looking to change that opinion, though. The first is Silverspot Cinema at Coconut Creek, which opened recently in the Promenade mall. The Silverspot's aim is to provide a truly high-end theater going experience for South Florida residents. With its minimalist-chic decor and on-site bar and restaurant, Silverspot is looking to attract a clientele who want more than just a movie; they want a night out on the town. The seating in the theater is one of the main points of pride for the Silverspot, with wide, hand stitched black leather seats that have more in common with first-class airline seats than they do with more run-of-the-mill multiplex seating.
The lineup at Silverpoint promises to include a variety of art-house and indie films, but that's not all. The management plans to provide simulcasts of concerts, ballets, operas, and even sporting events. They plan to host the Palm Beach International Film Festival and are currently finalizing plans to bring a mini Shakespeare film fest to their screens, and it is clear that their intent is to bring a higher class of entertainment to Boca Raton's luxury-minded movie-goers.
Your other option is the iPic theater at Mizner Park, which has been providing a luxury theater-going experience to Boca Raton residents since 2012. iPic offers premium recliner seats in its 8 theaters, which include a call button for in-theater food and beverage service. The main floor restaurant and cocktail lounge seats 272 and offers a large bar and outdoor seating. The decor is tasteful and recalls the glamor of old Hollywood, with pictures of classic movie stars decorating the walls.
Everyone needs a break from the sun sometimes, and if you've had enough tanning, swimming or golfing for one day, why not go for a night out in an air-conditioned luxury theater to recharge your batteries and watch a good film.
