A new condo project could once again spell change for Downtown Boca Raton. Originally known as Mizner 200, the project’s now dubbed The Monarch Boca Raton, but that’s not the only change that could result from the development.
Planned to go in on SE Mizner Boulevard, the three-block long development gained preliminary approval from area leaders last year, but it seems the developer is now asking for some changes to its plan. According to published reports this could mean building the entire project in stages and possibly making some changes to the way the building’s overall height is measured.
Members of an area non-profit are concerned this could mean a delay in completing the entire project, including some of the public amenities. They’re asking the city council to oppose those changes. The luxury condo project is significant to both area residents and city leaders because, when complete, it could become one of downtown Boca’s largest developments.
